The stats are updated, at the best, hourly. The advanced stats pages are updated daily. It's sadly not possible to get per-life stats, but the advanced stats break down your daily performance (For example a friend's profile: http://tf2stats.net/player_stats/itaiyo ). To get those updates, you need to be part of the tf2stats steam group, (then it takes a few days to pull data).
Hopefully that'll help :)

Great podcast. And by the way, you guys are talking about the Killcam in Call of Duty, where when you die, you see your killer's view for about 10 seconds from before the time you got killed. That sounds like it would be an awesome addition.
