great work, u make me laugh hard. grettings from GER
Thanks for reading my first e-mail to the show on-air and giving your opinion on those medics-vs-spies nerfs, Wes! I loved hearing that you would have been outraged all this time had you only known of them earlier, as I had been wondering why you'd remained silent on them till now. Misery loves company, I guess... plus, all us medics deserve to be a little indignant over this ubersaw nerf, it's the worst buff for spies since they started being able to use enemy engies' teleporters, to me.
I'm also glad my question seemed to generate some actual spy gameplay discussion between Brent and Spencer, that was kinda a bonus. Thanks, Brent, for agreeing with me and Wes that ubersaw hits should still give medics +25% when used on an enemy spy... good to have you on our side, as a sometimes-medic yourself!
Lastly, after those 3-4 hours of technical difficulties delaying the podcast all Sunday afternoon long... I felt very fortunate my question was even read, let alone answered. So, I appreciate that and am thankful to Eric and all y'all for the hard work you do not only getting the live/video podcast going most weeks, but also the edited/audio versions out later the same week (insanely impressive feats, to me).
I notice that Spencer IS NOT mentioned in the Podcast intro, but IS mentioned on the YouTube intro. Obviously the YouTube intro needs corrected.
I can only imagine what the engineer did with the rocket launcher to earn that comment... :D
Haha. You guys are great. You make me laugh at every episode since about nr 83 when i started listening. Good that you take up things that happened at teamfortress 2 like Guard Dog :) Keep on the good work. cheers from sweden!
[...] In other Pumpkin News, a big atta-boy goes out to everyones favorite heavy, Scott Eats Bullets (And Arrows). Recently Scott sent in a letter to the Control Point podcast about our TF2 Themed Pumpkin Carving Contest and they read it during their broadcast! A huge thank you to both Scott and the folks at Control Point. People that help out others in the gaming community make up for a lot of nights dealing with idiots and griefers :) I know a lot of our regulars listen to the podcast, but incase you don’t usually check it out. Here Scotts Letter – it starts @ 37:49 [...]
They've never seen me play spy if they think spies aren't good.
