lol ... This is one of the greatest games avaliable to buy.
Ok, look at Far Cry 2, beautyful and magical yeah ? But it sucks, its gameplay that is, Stealth fails and as for online play the cliche " what happened to the team which designed the last game " springs to mind.
This game, according to the simple minded "PLAYERS" who join the community at random has poor graphics ? ... This is insane ! ... The game is beautyful, so easy to program a new gamemode / Swep / NPC, Awesome to tinker with the physics engine and c'mon ! ... u get a CPU GPU and Expression chip (allows for algorithms to govern complex contraptions). Any other game which does all this ? ... NO, is the simple answer.
Dude, Guys, i can see that obviously u make pod casts and one if not both are in some way graphic designers, making it impossible for you to achieve hard core "GAMER" status, but please, make time in your busy lives to do a bit of research, or at the very least to play the game

Yeah, getting Garry, or at least someone who has an idea about advanced use for garrysmod would have been the thing to do. It's just listening to you guys is painful, because neither of you sound like you know very much about it.

Garry's Mod is one of the best games EVER.

Actually GMod was confirmed a official game when it moved to v10. GMod 9 and under are mods, but 10+ isn't.
Well technically GMod is still a mod(in the sense that you need a source game.) But anyways mods are still games so....

Well, it is a mod. It requires other games to play. Though it can be argued Half-Life 2: Episode One is a mod of Half-Life 2.
So it's a mod in the same way CS1.6 is a mod. As in, a full game, that you pay for, and launch like a real game. But at its core, (just like every Source game that requires the Source SDK), Garry's Mod is still just a mod.
Thus the name "Garry's Mod".
Why review what you "haven't really played"?
Try it multiplayer and you might get the idea. Better luck next time...

Just out of curiosity, would you consider a "your mom" joke a decent and civilized way to rebuttal an argument? Personally, I would argue that you are the gaming equivalent of a middle schooler who was trying to bully some little kid, that is to say of course, unable to pick in kids his own size.
SoundKiller777, you are not respected by your gaming peers for such actions, and I recommend not posting again until you gain a sense of morals and maturity.
Also, you seem to have trouble deciding whether Gmod is one of the "greatest games," or a "work or art." Allow me to help you; it is neither (in my opinion). While Gmod is a wonderfully designed piece of software, it lacks any ultimate goal, therefor stripping it of being truly a game. It can also not be called a piece of art, considering that most of the actual artwork and textures are pulled from other games. Anyway, I hope you have found this post enlightening, so that you are no longer compelled to write such ridiculous and rude comments about people who were just speaking their mind.
It is not actialy a game... it requires a source game. thus it cannot operate alone so... what kind of a game needs another game? not rly a secuel to hl2 so not that either.
And ontopic yeah you guys rly need to spend more time on this. It gives of a feel that you guys havent even bothered to play it longer than maybe 2 hours. ive played garrysmod all the way from 8 and thats about 4 - 5 years? And i still get new ideas what to build, pose or mess around when i cant come up with anything... the possibilities are just endless you need to really look into it to see this.
And! episodes arn't mods they dont NEED half life 2. they just happen to include it in the pack. if you happen to buy orange box or something
Sometime between when cs got voice-over-net, and when hlss because the norm for mic spam, Garry created a thing (can't remember if it was mod or background program) that let you spam peanut-butter-jelly timesque songs to annoy other players. Thats how I first found out about him. I checked www.garry.tv regulary as he wrote interesting stuff there, and I remember when the first version of gmod was released. I think it just let you staple objects together with the crossbow rods, can't remember. Its come a long way since then, and Garry has really put a lot of work into it, before it went official it was constantly updated. Me and my brother have got into it intensly for a few days about every year since the first version. We spend weekends giggling like girls. Last time we made pod-racers and raced them around (mine got stuck upside-down). I understand it has been marketed for its posing ability, but its just so much more. Massive dog vs. antlion battles, houses in the sky, multi-player rpg mods, a hoverboard mod similar to tony hawk.
Cons: I have found its very much a guys game (its all building and blowing stuff up), my sisters got bored very quickly.

They forgot some of the most important gamemodes and addons such as phx3, wire, spacebuild, gcombat and roleplay.
Also there is the fact of the thousands of mods and how easy it is to create a mod for gmod. Considering that gmod has it's own mods and it lauches like a game it leans more towards a game if you over look the fact of it being a modification to Valve's source code.
Pretty vague, should of learnt more about it before reporting about it. :(
